KDA devise monitoring system with demolishing illegal encroachments
For the first time in the history of Karachi Development Authority vigorous operations against encroachments are underway in various areas of Karachi city, Encroachments not only demolish but the land has been taken into government custody and a monitoring system has been implemented.
It should be noted that in Wahid and Mujahid Colony, the operation against encroachments is continue without taking into account the resistance of occupiers and operation against the occupation mafia will continue until the desired results are achieved.
According to the Spokesperson of Karachi Development Authority, on the special instructions of Director General KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, an indiscriminate operation was launched in Wahid Colony and Mujahid Colony.
KDA through newspaper advertisements informed illegal occupiers that Encroachments and illegal settlements should be vacated between 150 feet road Nazimabad and North Nazimabad , Despite the advertisements the occupants were not ready to hand over the government lands.
In the light of the orders of the Supreme Court, DG KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah, using special powers, issued instructions to the Estate and Enforcement Department to take action against the illegal occupants and asked that a report of the operation should be prepared and submitted on a daily basis.
The Spokesman of Karachi Development Authority further stated that after successfully completing the operation against the encroachments , Karachi Development Authority will construct road with the cost of 50 Million from Nazimabad No. 7 through Ziauddin Chowrangi, Landi Kotal Chowrangi, KDA Chowrangi, Peoples Chowrangi to Rashid Minhas Road which is 150 feet road.
