Canadian Parliamentarians gathered at the Senate of Canada to see a live exhibition of Pakistan’s famous truck art team Phool Patti led by founder Ali Salman Anchan and his team which flew to Canada yesterday to perform at various events and places in the next few days as part of celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of Pakistan and Canada diplomatic relations .
The event at Senate of Canada was hosted by Senator Salma Ataullahjan of Pakistan origin from Toronto and Chair of Senate Human Rights Committee in collaboration with Pakistan High Commission Canada.
Large number of MPs and Senators attended the event which brought to life a peculiar Pakistani cultural experience acclaimed around the globe as ‘Phool Patti’ truck art.
Representing the Pakistan High Commission, DHM Mr. Shahbaz Malik thanked Senator Salma Ataullahjan for hosting the event and her colleagues at the Parliament for attending and showing keen interest in the Pakistani artwork.
At the end, Senator Salma Ataullahjan thanked the guests and the Pakistan High Commission Canada for attending the event.
However, She lauded the skills of artists and the beautiful paintings they did to the delight and appreciation of the attendings MPs.
