A delegation of World Bank Click Project led by Senior Private Sector Specialist Ms. Aja Mansoor Adahoroki accompanied by members of the project visited Sindh Building Control Authority they were briefed on modern single window facility provided to the public with World Bank financing from Facility Counters.
The head of the delegation and members commended SBCA for its performance in Phase-I and Phase-II, CLICK representatives informed SBCA of its decision to provide support for the enhancement of modern automation systems and the acquisition of more modern capabilities in Phase III.
In Phase III, SBCA’s state-of-the-art automated system, single window facility, back-automation, hardware, archiving and disaster recovery centers will be augmented.
It should be noted that keeping in view the business and commercial importance of Karachi city, the Government of Sindh has outlined its priorities in providing investment opportunities in the city, implementation of local government laws, basic amenities in the city and improving the living standards of the people. Sindh Government have started a program to obtain financing endowments through the World Bank Project (CLICK).
In this regard, World Bank financing and resources are being provided in SBCA through Phase-I and Phase-II of the project in Single Window Facility Counter which includes building renovation, hardware, software automation issues and its benefits and high performance. Now the Phase III program is being launched.
On this occasion, the Director General of SBCA, Mohammad Ishaq Khuhro, welcomed the arrival of the team leader of Click Project, Ms. Aja, and the accompanying delegation. He described further additions to the automated system as important milestones.
On the occasion were Ms. Asma Ghayyur, Director IT, Ali Ghaffar, Director Single Window Facility and Farhan Qaiser Director Design SBCA, CLICK Project Director Noor Ali Sher, Finance Manager Rahim Bakhsh and Project Manager Asif Karim including other officers from SBCA and world bank were present on the occasion.
Later, Director General Muhammad Ishaq Khuhro presented flower bouquets and gifts to the head and members of the delegation on behalf of SBCA.
