Karachi Interfaith Network delegation meets MQM Pakistan Rabita Committee

Karachi Interfaith Network KIN delegation visited MQM BAHADURABAD Office to meet Convenor Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui,  Nasreen Jalil and other Members of Rabita Committee.

Karachi Interfaith Network, a project of Shaoor Foundation was represented by MQM MPA Mangla Sharma, Allama Ali Qarrar Naqvi, Dr Hassan Auj, Ali Salman Anchan and other Network leaders of Karachi Interfaith Network.

Karachi Interfaith Network appreciated efforts of MQM Pakistan for always have been active for inter faith and inter sectarian harmony and sought liaison for Interfaith Conferences and Community based Peace Dialogues.

MQM Convenor Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui listened to the ideas of the network leaders and assured full support in this cause.

He was of the view that MQM is the true sincere voice for the equal rights of Minorities and had been at the forefront in the legislation regarding promoting Interfaith Harmony.

MPA Mangla Sharma informed that she is in talks with Islamic ideological council Chairman Dr Qibla Ayaz regarding minority rights bill and also addressed the issue of forced conversion of Hindu Girls in Sindh.

Dr Hassan Auj stressed the need of regulation of the implementation of Blasphemy Laws to avoid any false implications of Innocent souls in such cases.

He also stressed that Ahmedi community should be made part of Minority Affairs committees and their grievances should be genuinely addressed.

Nasreen Jalil also reiterated MQM’s commitment towards eradication of extremism and terrorism in Pakistan.

Shaoor Foundation was represented by Mrs Javeria and Mr Taufeeq Wassan.
