HRYO organizes Human Rights and Democracy Conference in Karachi


The Human Rights and Democracy Conference organized by Human Rights Youth Organization (HRYO) was held at Hotel Mehran.

Chief guests of the conference were Ex DG NAB & Ex Provicial Minister Senior Journalist / Brigadier Mr. Haris Nawaz, Parliamentary Secretary Environment, Youth and Sport Mr. Muhammad Yousuf Baloch, Former Provincial Minister / Vice Chairman PSP Mr. Shabir Ahmed Qaim Khani.

Guest of Honor of the Conference Human Rights Activist Barrister Ali Tahir, Nazim Lower Sindh Minhaj-ul-Quran Mushtaq Ahmed Qaim Khani, Secretary APHA Nishad Ahmed, President American Burns Forum Imtiaz Sheikh, Soofi Jahanzeb Central General Secretary HRYO, Provincial President HRYO Shoaib Ahmed Malik, Roshan Lal the Divisional President HRYO.

The conference was attended by 200 people including human rights activists, civil society, political representatives, bureaucrats, businessmen, journalists and analysts, former army officers.

The host of the conference was Mr. Tanveer QaimKhani, Central President, Human Rights Youth Organization, and Mrs. Erum Saaim, Chairperson Persons with Disabilities.

The speakers said that there is a need to work on raising awareness of human rights. It is the responsibility of all of us to raise awareness of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Pakistan. In our country, democracy has been upheld in Pakistan and the people will be empowered. Equal rights of men and women will be provided. Chief guests commended the work of the Human Rights Youth Organization in preventing human rights violations and assured full support of the Human Rights Youth Organization in Pakistan in the future.
