Karachi is the capital city of the Province of Sindh, Pakistan. Karachi is one of the biggest cities of Pakistan, and it is the seventh most important/major city of the World, ranked as a ‘Beta-global City’.
Karachi is Pakistan’s premier industrial and financial center, with an estimated GDP of $114 billion as of 2014.
It is also one of the most cosmopolitan city of Pakistan, its most linguistically, ethnically, and religiously diverse city, as well as one of Pakistan’s most secular and socially liberal cities.
With its location on the Arabian Sea, Karachi serves as a transport hub, and is home to Pakistan’s two largest seaports, the Port of Karachi and Port Bin Qasim, as well as Pakistan’s busiest airport, Jinnah international airport.
Karachi was destined to become the most advanced city of the orient but vested interests, terrorism, extremism and separatism have turned the once pearl of the East into a cesspit of garbage, blocked sewage systems and muck. The ongoing monsoon downpour has aggravated the situation.
People of Karachi faces thousands of different problems daily and nowadays people in our locality are suffering a lot due to the faculty pipelines sewerage system.
We still have many problems like, Load Shedding, Cut of Water supply, shortage of gas, garbage everywhere.
But the obstruction of the sewerage system is becoming sensitive issue with every passing day with the responsible organizations which I personally do not want to mention.
After the last year crazy rainstorm spell havocs, the main roads submerged, sewage spewing from main holes from gutters to home, and the power cuts lasting for hours resulting that it became an unprecedented task of sorting out the city’s drains.
The main associate of our locality complains many times in the offices of the organizations who maintain the drain system of Karachi, but still they haven’t acted upon our complain.
The drain water stands in the street for months and due to which we face unhygienic health issues such as skin problems, respiratory system problems, hepatitis etc, in our locality and we are facing this sewerage system problems from a long time ago.
The local roads are flooded effluent/ waste water, which is not tolerated by the people. Moreover, the stinking smell is unbearable.
This pipeline sewage system issues need immediate attention which requires sensible steps taken by concerned authorities.
