Central Information Secretary PPP-P and MNA Shazia Atta Marri has said that Sindh government is the only government in the country which fixed Rs 25 thousand monthly wage for workers and labour class.
PPP believes in the labour policy and it is also included in the Pakistan Peoples Party’s manifesto to guard workers & labours rights as well.
She added that people have seen only rising inflation, price hikes and unemployment during the three years of PTI’s rule. This she said in a video statement issued hereon today.
Shazia Marri said that the inflation rate in the country has reached at 11.5% and in the perspective of increasing price hike of essential food items, electricity and gas tarrif, Sindh government decided to raise minimum wages for worker class but it was sad to know that Apex Court of Pakistan issued stay order against minimum monthly wage of Rs25,000 for workers fixed by the Sindh government.
She added that we are well aware and also understand the problems and worries faced by the owners of industries due to high prevaling inflation rate and country is being faced the multiple crisis due to bad economic policies of PTI-led government.
Shazia Marri said that industrialist are also facing severe shortage of gas and PTI government is also not providing any relief to the industries, this is not a way to run country’s economic affairs.
She said that recent survery report of Transparency International Pakistan has revealed the real corrupt face of Imran Khan Niazi’s government and said that unprecedented inflation and price hike increased in three years rule of PTI government.
Ms Marri hoped that supreme court will look into the matter of minimum wages on humanitarian grounds and to allow Sindh government to raise the minimum wage to Rs. 25,000 per month for workers.
