Getting treatment in private hospital is beyond KDA employees reach; M. Abdul Maroof


A three-member delegation of KDA Employees Union headed by Chairman Muhammad Abdul Maroof, along with President Nadeem Khokhar and Deputy General Secretary Qamar Abbas met with Director General Karachi Development Authority (KDA).

On this occasion, Chairman Muhammad Abdul Maroof had a detailed discussion with the Director General regarding the restoration of medical facilities of the employees.

He said that the employees and their families are in dire straits due to non-availability of medical facilities and facility of laboratory panel also not available.

Getting treatment in a private hospital is beyond the reach of employees, he added.

Employees Union President Nadeem Khokhar submitted a request to the DG KDA that to pay the November salaries to the Christian employees before the 25 December Christmas festivities.

Qamar Abbas, Deputy general secretary of the employees union, demanded for issuance of funds for winter uniforms for security personnel. He said that the employees of the security department were performing their duties day and night in the severe cold of winter, They are on duty at every festival and event but have not been paid for their winter uniforms for many years.

At last, the Employees Union thanked Director General KDA Asif Ali Memon and Director Finance Taufiq Ahmed Soomro for paying 28% of the dues of retired employees.
