A delegation of KDA Employees Union Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) met with Asif Ali Memon, Director General, Karachi Development Authority(KDA).
The delegation included KDA Employees Union Chairman Muhammad Abdul Maroof, President Nadeem Khokhar and Deputy General Secretary Qamar Abbas.
During the meeting, Chairman Employees Union Muhammad Abdul Maroof briefed Asif Ali Memon, Director General, Karachi Development Authority on the medical condition of KDA employees which has been completely closed from the last two years.
Employees of the institution and their families are deeply disturbed due to the closure of the medical facilities, he added.
Whereas, Chairman Muhammad Abdul Maroof said that there is no hospital, no laboratory on the KDA panel and at present as in Pakistan especially in Karachi Covid-19 is spreading rapidly, so medical facilities should be restored immediately.
On this occasion, the President of the Employees Union, Nadeem Khokhar, said that in view of the grant coming from the Government of Sindh which is Rs.200.4 Million should be increased and salaries should be increased by 20% as per the orders of the Sindh government
DG KDA Asif Ali Memon listened to the views of the employees’ union and assured about the medical facilities of the employees that a concrete action plan would be worked out soon.
Regarding the grant, Asif Ali Memon said that he would soon talk to the Minister for Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah .
At last Abdul Maroof assured for the cooperation and said that KDA Employees Union is with you for the rights of employees
