Sindh Minister for Education and Labor Saeed Ghani has said that the PDM will not remain silent on the dacoity and theft that took place in the election of Chairman Senate yesterday and we will fight all legal and political.
The PTI is a disgrace to this country, which is at the forefront of discrediting democracy, parliament, and politics in this country. I totally reject this impression of some private channels and analysts on yesterday’s election. Those 7 votes have been deliberately lost. What Muzaffar Hussain Shah has done is not just on the phone but something else.
If the court does not justify the action of the Senate on the robbery and theft that took place on that day, then we can also question the disqualification of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani despite the rolling of the Speaker and his letter.
We hope the courts will give us justice. After consultation with the parties involved in the PDM, the court will be approached, while the other option is to bring a no-confidence motion against the unconstitutional and illegal chairman of the Senate. He expressed these views while addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Saturday.
Saeed Ghani said that when the hidden cameras were seized before the Senate elections yesterday, it was first said that these were CCTV cameras and later this allegation was leveled against the opposition. Saeed Ghani said that the secretary of the senate is the custodian of the senate hall and if hidden cameras are installed in the dark of night then the secretary of the senate is responsible for it. Saeed Ghani said that the 7 votes which were canceled on the pretext of being in the name of the candidate were totally unconstitutional and illegal.
He said that it was clear from the Senate Secretary that Farooq H Naik, who was the polling agent for Yousuf Raza Gilani and later during the voting, Shirin Rehman himself had pointed out to a voter that his name had been stamped. Admitted that it would not make any difference and if there is a seal in the given box then that vote will be accepted but later when the secretary asked the senate to reject the vote, his reply was that I was over-rolled by the presiding officer. What is it?
Saeed Ghani said that the election for the chairman of the Senate was not conducted by the Election Commission but by the Senate Secretariat and if the Senate Secretary said that he was overruled by the Presiding Officer and raised his hands, it was malicious. He said that the installation of a hidden camera in the Senate Secretariat and the procedure of registration of votes by the Senate Secretary should be clearly stated in it that the seal should be affixed inside the box of the candidate and later Farooq H. Naik, Shireen Rehman, myself and Ali Qasim Gilani to confess in front of everyone that even if the seal is affixed on the name, the vote will not be rejected and later to say that he was over rolled by the Presiding Officer.
There is no justification for the Senate to remain in office. “We demand that the secretary of the senate be immediately sacked and sent to jail as such a person cannot be eligible for any government job,” Ghani said. Replying to a question, Saeed Ghani said that Secretary Senate and Muzaffar Hussain Shah were involved in all this drama and we would present all the evidence against them in the court. To a question, he said that Muzaffar Hussain Shah has received not only phone calls but much more and I do not know what his weaknesses and pressures were and what jobs and services he has done. Did everything To another question, he said that Muzaffar Hussain Shah’s ruling to reject the last 7 votes was completely illegal and unconstitutional and it was based on dishonesty, under which he declared a losing candidate successful. Has given In response to another question, Saeed Ghani said that a presiding officer is not an emperor or a god who decides and rules whatever he wants.
He said that the presiding officer is also bound by the constitution and law and what Muzaffar Hussain Shah gave his rolling call yesterday is against the constitution and law. To another question, he said that consultations were underway with the leaders of all parties involved in the PDM in this regard and a petition would be filed in the judiciary in this regard soon.
