Firing exchange incident happened between street criminals and police at Solangi Stop under the jurisdiction of PS Murad Memon police here on yesterday.
In the result of counter firing of police one street criminal 23 year old Abdul Hafeez S/O Gul Muhammad arrested in injured condition but his partner escaped successfully.
Police recovered a pistol, 3 bullets and 4 mobile phones from the possession of injured suspect. Police brought injured criminal in its custody and sent him to Jinnah hospital for treatment. In this respect ASI Nawaz told on asking that PS Murad Memon police was on patrolling as usual suddenly they saw two accused engaged in street crime on motorcycle and as they saw police coming they started firing on them.
He further said that one street criminal became injured by police counter firing and arrested but his partner ran away.
However he said that police is searching accused who run away during firing and registered a case against incident also police has started inquiry.
