Sindhi Cultural Day commemorated with a great excitement and enthusiasm at historic place Narathar Rock by Awami Press Club Malir with the cooperation of civil society Malir where Matara’s graves are situated here on yesterday in which hundreds of people including Literates, Poets, Historian, Journalists, Representatives, Social and Political leaders and local people of Malir participated it in a great deal wearing Sindhi caps, Ajraks and turbans on their heads.
Rally commenced from Awami Press Club Malir Memon village under the supervision of press club’s journalists senior journalist Saami Memon, President Ghulam Ali Goondar, General Secretary Manzoor Solangi, Joint Secretary Arshad Ali and other and reached at Syed Yousuf Shah shrine where great crowd of civil society namely Gadop Development Social Welfare Organisation’s Zafar Hameed, HANDs Pakistan representative Khalil Wadelo, Leader of Taj Sindh Sikandar Jokhio, action committee Ali Kalmaty, member of Indigenous Rights Alliance Sindh Ali Nawaz Jokhio, Malir friends leader Saleem Jokhio, SDO representative Saleem J Memon, Pakistan Khaskheli Ithad head Yaqoob Khaskheli, Sadat Welfare Association leader Shabir Shah, Salal Bhitani Foundation leader Waheed Chutto and other people welcomed them warmly and rally moved towards Narathar Rock where cultural ceremony was also held.
The whole district Malir blew up with the slogans of Jie Sindh, its culture and its people.
A ajrak was offered at the shrines of Matara and crossed fingers for the prosperity, peace, enlightened days and better development of Sindh including Pakistan. On the other hand rallies were arranged every where in Malir on historic places, roads and markets where youth danced on national songs.
Awami Press Club Malir Journalists got worn Ajraks to guests.On that occasion Ali Kalmaty, Yaqoob Khaskheli, Zafar Hameed Balouch, Khalil Wadelo, Javed Mehar, Nasir Ejaz, Dr Saqib Memon, Ashraf Memon and rest of other addressed ceremony participants and said that Sindh Culture is oldest and eminent culture of the world which is observed not only Sindh but entire world.
They said cultural day units Sindh people with solidarity and it provides us a chance to raise effective struggle for the preservation of our Historic Assets, Places, Indus River and other resources.
They said that planning is made to confiscate on oldest settlements, graveyards and precious lands of Sindh including Malir at present and if Sindh people will not be united earlier and can not have mutual strive to preserve their historic place and village lands then they will become ruined soon.
In the program singers, poets Fiqeer Habib-u-Allah, Shafqat Sheikh, Waheed Ramzan, Syed Abdul Ghafoor Shah, Amar Gul, Ramzan Jokhio, Udasi Jokhio, Imtiaz Danish, Ali Ahmed Chandio, Ali Nawaz Lanjwani, Chaglo Jokhio and others performed their role well and sang beautiful songs of Sindh with melody voices where people danced and jigged on songs also raised slogans of Sindh and its culture. On the occasion program all present political social leaders PTI Hafeez Jokhio, Writer Nazeer Chana, Awami Tehreek leader Ghulam Ali Bughio, STP Ghulam Muhammad Balouch, Fishermen leader Younus Khaskheli, Former UC chairman and others passed resolution with consensus and demanded to have Mattara graves as historic assets and Sindh Government and Cultural Department should own tht place also confiscation be over on Sindh Islands and its precious lands including Malir and secure oldest places and villages of Malir in this regards detailed application which was sent to DC Malir after signatures.
