The people of Pakistan have been facing an other laboriousness in the metamorphosis of heavy rainfalls in its major counties after the longest ever lockdown amid to Covid-19.
According to the recent report issued by NDMA the monsoon rainfall has left hundreds of families banished and deported.
The rainfall has caused flooding and Physical damages in various parts of the country over the last few days.
The report indicates that nearly 249 humans have lost their precious lives and 175 are badly wounded.
Whereas, the figure of damaged houses is 2,715 and 13-Transportation roads are resulted dangerous to travel.
Whereas, The Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah has declared the situation of emergency in 20 districts of Sindh due to heavy Moonsoon rains.
Keeping in view the current situation, the non-governmental organisation Fast Rural Development Program has taken positive initiatives for the rain-affected families specially those are living under portable shelter (usually of canvas stretched over supporting poles and fastened to the ground with ropes and pegs).
FRDP with the precious support of Paani project USA, Qidwai Welfare Trust, Penny Apple and ILM UK has distributed pure drinking water and cooked food amongst rain-affected families. According to the facts and figures, FRDP has distributed 1000 cooked food parcels in Yousaf Goth Karachi since last fifteen days.
Apart from Karachi, FRDP distributed 800 cooked food parcels in Mirpurkhas, 300 cooked food parcels in Taluka Johi of District Dadu.
However, FRDP also provided Clean Drinking water to 9600 persons in Karachi for consecutive 10 days, 2400 Persons in Johi and 4800 in Jhudo, Mirpurkhas through water-trucks.
It’s pertinent to mention that FRDP is helping poor and needy families by reaching at their doorsteps. The volunteers are rendering services in various rain-affected areas.
