An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Local Government Secretary Roshan Ali Sheikh in his office in which important decisions were taken regarding extraordinary cleanliness measures around Pakistan Air Force Air Bases.
The Secretary Local Government of Sindh was apprised of the difficulties by the Pakistan Air Force due to the presence of flying birds in the vicinity of Air Force bases in various cities and requested for assistance.
Talking on the occasion, Local Government Secretary Roshan Ali Sheikh said that all the Armed Forces of Pakistan perform their sacred duty of protecting the homeland by putting their lives on the line.
In view of the professional responsibilities of these defenders of their homeland, the Local Government Department of the Government of Sindh is always vigilant and present.
Roshan Ali Sheikh while ordering to improve the sanitation situation around Faisal Base and Masroor Base at Maripur West on Shahra-e-Faisal said that under no circumstances should there be any presence of garbage or rubbish around the air bases.
Because birds are present due to garbage or debris which can cause problems for pilots during the flight.
The Secretary Local Governments in particular directed the Deputy and Municipal Commissioners to formulate a comprehensive policy in collaboration with the Solid Waste Management Board and elected local body representatives so that no problem arises during Eid-ul-Adha and all residential areas and Special care should be taken around the bases.
