SJC expressed concern over the arrest of Journalist Hakim Bhatti affiliated with Sindh Tv News and his relatives in fake cases under the Anti-Terrorism Act including other sections by Khairpur Police.
Sindh Journalists Council(SJC) Session of Executive Council headed by President and Senior Journalist Ghazi Jhandir held in Karachi on Thursday. SJC in a press statement claimed that Police by the directives of influential peoples have registered fake cases against the said journalists after reporting on the illegal occupancy on Government School plot.
Moreover Sindh Journalists Council President Senior Journalist Ghazi Jhandir shared that Despite of the clear directives of Supreme Court of Pakistan Khairpur Police is registering fake cases against journalists under 7ATA, Journalists in all over Sindh are doing protests due to this injustice.
Whereas SJC Executive Council urged to Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and IG Sindh Mushtaq Meher to order the reinvestigation of fake cases registration against Journalist Hakim Bhatti and to take action against those Police Officers and others who involved in suppressing the voice of journalists.
