Karachi Sports Forum (KSF) along with Quaid-e-Azam College (Dhaka) Alumni and Syed Foundation will jointly distribute free sewing machines to deserving families, especially widows on May 20 in connection with the Ramadan Employment Scheme.
KSF has collaborated with Quaid-e-Azam College (Dhaka) under the banner Ramadan Employment Scheme, which is a project was started 20 years ago by Ansarul Haq with the help of friends and family.
The purpose of the scheme was to provide support to such women who want to support their families by sewing in their homes as a decent employment. So far, the scheme has benefited deserving women from Orangi, Korangi, Malir and Lyari and other suburbs.
The Syed Foundation, a social and welfare organization, and the Karachi Sports Forum, which distributes ration bags to the unemployed affected by the lockdown caused by the corona virus, have also extended their support.
According to Chairman KSF Asif Azeem, KSF will be identifying female relatives of sportspersons, who would be needing the support in the form of sewing machines so that they could earn a respectable livelihood for themselves and their families
