Kamyab Jawan Program ; Hope for Youth


Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the “Kamyab Jawan Programme” in October 2019 to provide easy loan to the enthusiast young population to help them start their own business.

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf government has finally decided to do something for youth population which played a great role in the success of PTI in the election 2018.

Pakistan has a large number of young entrepreneurs, who can expand their businesses with the help of these loans.In the first stage, the government has allocated 100 billion rupees for the programme.

It will provide technical and financial assistance to people between the ages of 21 to 45. Having an ID card is must, therefore young people who want to start a business related to the IT or e-commerce has to be at least 18 years old.

Pakistan currently has the largest population of young people ever recorded in its history. It is one of the youngest countries in the world and second youngest in the South Asian region after Afghanistan. Of the country’s total population 68 percent are below the age of 30, and 32 percent are between the ages of 15-29 years.

After coming to power Prime Minister Imran Khan make highest priority, youth empowerment on national level. Keeping this perspective in mind the Prime Minister appointed Usman Dar as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs and created a Youth Affairs wing under his own supervision in the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.In order to accomplish this vision of the Prime Minister, the creation of National Youth Development.

Framework (NYDF), developed on the basic principles of 3Es: Education, Employment and Engagement.

Keeping these 3Es as vital concern, federal government has designed a comprehensive program named “Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Program”.

For the very first time in Pakistan, through the platform of PM Kamyab Jawan, the government has created opportunities to open the doors of socio-economic empowerment of youth.

The Mission of Kamyab Naujawan Program was to Integrate young voices, perspective, aspiration and gainful opportunities into national development policies and processes.

Whereas the Objectives of said program was to Facilitate and support provincial governments with their youth-focused policies and programmes and strengthen inter-governmental coordination for youth development.

It was learned that“Rs10bn will be used for teaching skills to 100,000 young people. Under the programme, the prime minister announced, 100 labs will be established for distance learning.”

“The programme will also arrange internships through which 25,000 young people will be connected with industries,” He added, “2,000 teachers will be sent abroad for international-level training.”

The First phase of Kamyab Nojawan youth loan scheme has ended now , but still millions of youth have hope to get benefit from the said scheme and they have eyes on Prime Minister of Pakistan that when he would announce the 2nd phase of the loan scheme to start their own business .
