KDA Employees Union stage protest over salaries deduction & Delay in Contract workers Rehiring

Employees of Karachi Development Authority on the call of KDA Employees Union staged peaceful protest on Ground floor & first floor of Civic Center in front of Director General office on Monday.

It was learned that the union called for protest against deduction in salaries, ban on Re-hiring of Contract employees, work charge scrutiny committee delay in any conclusion and the stoppage of medical facilities of employees.

On the Occasion KDA Employees Union Spokesman Muhammad Abdul Maroof expressed that the process of deduction from employees salaries is condemnable.

Moreover he added that the employees in less grades have 20 to 25 thousand monthly salary, if the department would deduct 5 to 10 thousand then the employees and thier families will suffer and face severe financial crisis.

Whereas Dilawar Khan General Secretary of Union urged management to start the process of contract employees rehiring as the unemployment in country already on Rise.

On the other hand KDA Employees Union Patron In Chief Naveed Anwer met with DG KDA Dr. Saif ur Rehman and discussed the issues of deduction from salaries, contact employees specially security staff, women & disable persons rehiring and the attendance of site offices employees via biometric.

However, on the request of employees Union DG KDA spoke with the protestors said that, the issue of deduction from monthly salaries would be resolve after meeting with Director Information Technology and the deduct salary would be paid to the employees.

Moreover DG asked employees to ensure the attendance via biometric and also gave assurance to the protestors that the department would initiate rehiring process very soon.
