Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman said social works are important for any society and if anyone know something, he need to transfer it to those who are unaware of it on the community level.
It is not easy to do social works and those who do this deserves praise and tribute.
He expressed these views while speaking as chief guest in the 11th I Own Pakistan Conference held by the Young Social Reformers in the Karachi Medical & Dental College on Monday.
Principal KMDC Prof. Dr. Mehmood Haider, chairperson medical committee Naheed Fatima, senior director medical services Dr. Salma Kausar and president of young social reformers Fahad Rizvi, vice president Asees Ahmed, general secretary and others were also present on this occasion.
Debate and singing contest were also held in this program and the winners got the prizes and shields.
Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rehman said it is not necessary to have a big forum for social works but can be done through small works.
He said the youth have lot of talent and are working hard in their respective fields.
He expressed hope that the young social reformers would continue such social activities.
