PTI Sindh ladies wing staged protest against Senator Azam Swati arrest

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Sindh chapter ladies’ wing in front of Karachi Press Club on Thursday demonstrated to protest against the arrest of PTI senator Azam Swati.

The protesters were holding placards in their hands and were chanting slogans against the provincial and federal governments. They were of the view that the government has illegally detained Swati by registering sing fake FIRs against him across Pakistan.

The PTI ladies’ wing demanded that the government should immediately release Swati.

Addressing the protesters, PTI MNA Nusrat Wahid said that the apex court should take Suo moto action against the illegal arrest of Swat. The court should intervene and stop the government from registering further fake cases against the PTI leader.

The government must stop political victimization. The Constitution of Pakistan gives the right to speak to every citizen.

Criticizing Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam chief Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman’s statement about women, she said that Islam guarantees women’s rights but ‘misogynist’ Fazal Ur Rehman still slang language against women. She asked what kind of Islam Maulana has been following as he has no respect for women’s rights which have been guaranteed by Islam.
